Promoting Diversity Through the Employment of Foreign Talent

The Daisei Group is committed to creating an environment where a diverse range of talent can thrive. At Daisei Warehouse & Transportation, we have been regularly hiring technical intern trainees since 2022, and currently employ 22 international Crew members. In addition, Foods & Foods employs 10 specified skilled workers from Thailand and Vietnam, Daisei Maintenance employs 8 mechanics from the Philippines, and Izumi Logistics employs 32 international drivers. By welcoming international talent as valued members of our workforce, we promote a workplace culture that respects diverse perspectives and cultural backgrounds, and fosters collaboration beyond national and cultural boundaries.

In FY2025, four people from Indonesia joined Daisei Warehouse & Transportation as new Crew members.

Developing Skilled Drivers
in Uzbekistan

Izumi Logistics is participating in a Driver Crew development project in collaboration with the Government of Uzbekistan. Through this initiative, training is provided in Uzbekistan on Japanese traffic regulations and safety standards, enabling participants to become job-ready upon arrival in Japan. Approximately 300 individuals are being jointly trained under this program. By taking a global approach to addressing the increasingly severe driver shortage, we are promoting the sustainable development and securement of human resources for the future.

Creating Second Careers for Senior Truck Drivers

Major Service Japan launched its hotel business in October 2019 to provide a workplace where retired senior truck drivers can continue working with peace of mind. By incorporating smart locks and self-check-in systems, we have made hotel operations accessible even to those without prior hospitality experience. This initiative supports long-term employment opportunities while ensuring a sustainable work environment.
Located in Ryogoku, Tokyo, Hotel Ark Sense serves as a second career opportunity for senior truck drivers.

Wellness Consultations with In-House Public Health Nurses

In 2023, Daisei Logistics established a Wellness Team consisting of two in-house occupational health nurses to promote the health and well-being of our Crew members. Through individual consultations based on annual health checkup results, as well as support for lifestyle improvements, we strive to enhance health awareness across the organization. These efforts have led to measurable outcomes, including approximately a 10% improvement in blood pressure levels and a reduction in the number of smokers.

Certified as a KENKO Investment for Health from 2025

We have also developed an in-house application to digitize health checkup results, making it easier for Crew members to monitor and manage their health. In addition, we provide support for influenza vaccinations (including eligible family members), subsidies for cancer screenings, and access to a health consultation service (CARES LITE). Through these initiatives, we are committed to creating a work environment where both our Crew members and their families can feel safe and supported.
