Our History
DAISEI Group started in 1969 with only one truck. In 1967, I was at New York harbor as a trainee of Container Marine Inc. to introduce the marine container system to Nagoya harbor. At that time, I recognized that there was a huge gap between Japan and the U.S in the social status of truck drivers. Professional truck drivers in the U.S. were very proud of their job, while in Japan, truck drivers were regarded as having relatively low social status.
With this experience abroad, I desired to uplift Japanese truck drivers’ social status and establish a company. We overcame numerous challenges since the establishment. Thanks to the support of crew members, customers, and other stakeholders, DAISEI Group reached its 55th anniversary in 2024.

Belief
Crews are my family.
I consider the crew members as my family. At the same time, they are the most valuable assets we have. Because we are a family, I face each of them with sincerity all the time. I support them with sincerity. If necessary, I would scorn them with sincerity. I do not have any outrageous talent, but I have confidence that I care for my fellow crew members the most. These feelings for the crews have not changed ever since the establishment, because a company is all about employees.

To the future
Challenge for the Next Generation of DAISEI Group.
DAISEI Group aims to become a two-way player in the next 50 years. By saying two-way, I mean “Deepening” and “Exploration”. We will create a New DAISEI Group by “Deepening” the businesses we’ve succeeded in and “Exploring” new business fields. Our challenge will never stop.
